Sharks Group Run Saturday July 10

Last week, we kicked off our official training group runs at Bowling Green Ballpark with solid runs. Let's maintain that momentum in the weeks to come. This Saturday, we will be meeting again, same place, same time - 6:30am at BG Ballpark. Below are suggested routes and distances for Saturday's run in accordance with the official bg26.2 training plans written by the Race Director herself. All runners/walkers are welcome, so bring your friends. The groups are free, even if you aren't training for the races, we encourage you to just come out and burn dome calories with us.

bg6000/Beginner Group

The bg6000 sharks' workout calls for 60 sec jogs with 90 sec walk breaks in between. This will be done on a route that follows the the first mile of the course before turning around at the top of the hill [where there is a water stop] and heading back to the ballpark to finish

Half Marathoners

The Half Marathoners will be running a 5mi route that follows the course through WKU's campus, continuing up Chestnut, but making a right turn onto 10th just past Tidball's before running past Spencer's and returning to the ballpark on 8th. There will be a water stop just before mile 3 at the planetarium.

Full Marathoners

The Full Marathoners will be running an 11mi route through downtown, to Fairview Ave, and turning around at Hampton Ave/Kereiakes Park. From there, we will continue the Medical Center portion of the marathon course. Upon reaching the ballpark we will have to circle the block at BGMU to get our watches to hit 11mi.
