Sharks Group Run Saturday July 17


This Saturday, we will be meeting again, same place, same time - 6:30am at BG Ballpark. But mixing it up by taking a break from downtown hills and running out through the Briarwood neighborhood. Below are suggested routes and distances for Saturday's run in accordance with the official bg26.2 training plans written by the Race Director herself. All runners/walkers are welcome, so bring your friends. The groups are free, even if you aren't training for the races, we encourage you to just come out and burn dome calories with us.


bg6000/Beginner Group

The bg6000 sharks' workout calls for 90 sec jogs with 90 sec walk breaks in between. This will be done on a route that runs Fairview Ave to Kereiakes Park, turning around, and passing though bg26.2 Alley on the way back to the ballpark to finish.





Half Marathoners

The Half Marathoners will be running a 6-ish mi route that heads up center street turning left at 10th, left again on State, right on 8th to pass thorugh bg26.2 alley before heading out on Fairview to run the flatter sections of the course. once back on fairview, hang a left at SkyPAC and run back to the ballpark.



Full Marathoners

The Full Marathoners will be running an 8mi route similar to the half marathoners to Fairview Ave, and running the remainder of the marathon course from there. once reaching the ballpark, an additional loop of 10th to state to 8th will be needed to get that last half mile to finish with 8mi
