Sharks Group Run Saturday July 31

6:30am at BG Ballpark. Some of us have shorter runs than last week, while others have longer ones. Below are suggested routes and distances for Saturday's run in accordance with the official bg26.2 training plans written by the Race Director herself. All runners/walkers are welcome, so bring your friends. The groups are free, even if you aren't training for the races, we encourage you to just come out and burn dome calories with us.

bg6000/Beginner Group

The bg6000 sharks are stepping it up again this week. This workout has a variety of intervals to it so take note, maybe write it on the back of your hand.

Jog for 3 minutes, walk for 90 sec

Jog for 3 minutes, walk for 2 and a half minutes

Jog for 3 minutes, walk for 90 sec

Jog for 4 minutes

This will be done on the official bg6000 course.

Half Marathoners

The Half Marathoners have 4mi of running on the schedule. This can be done by following the bg6000 route and adding a little more to the end.

Full Marathoners

The Full Marathoners have 14mi on the schedule. On race day, you'll be running a double loop, meaning you'll have to run all those hills twice. The first time around, they feel like climbing hills, the second time around, they feel like climbing mountains. To get accustomed to this, the marathoners will be doing their long run by double looping a route that includes the "best" hills in the course.
