Are you wanting to go faster on race day? If so, setting aside a day for shorter, but faster than usual running workouts can help improve your speed. There are a few local runners who take it to the track on Tuesdays. The track is a great place to do short interval training because it is easier to count distance in laps. Interval training can include running fast for a couple of laps then doing a recovery jog before another set of fast laps.
Tuesday, June 26 a group of Street Sharks will meet at Bowling Green High School track at 5:00am to work on their speed. OPTIONAL: There will be a short warm up through the neighborhood starting at 4:45, returning to the track by 5:00am
